Classified as Zone 3, Southern Manitoba's climate can be a challenge when growing and collecting bonsai. There are many excellent sources for learning about bonsai, but if you live on the Canadian prairies, our club can help you learn how to deal with our climate so you too can grow bonsai successfully, indoors and out.

The Bonsai Society of Winnipeg was organized in the early 1980s by a group of enthusiasts who wanted to get together to share their experiences, to learn from each other, to pool their resources, and to enjoy the companionship of others with a common interest... we learn by sharing our experience, and pooling our resources.
The Bonsai Society of Winnipeg is a member of BCI (Bonsai Clubs International) and maintains ties with other bonsai clubs in Canada, the USA and around the world. Visit us on Facebook for more photos of our activities and events.
