Recent news and a review of upcoming activities.
Please join us at our upcoming April general meeting, where we will have the privilege of hosting bonsai expert, Steve Ulrich, via Zoom. Prepare to be enthralled as Steve unveils the remarkable larch specimens from his collection, guiding us through their intricate beauty and significance.
For those who attended Steve's captivating workshop last year on Thuja occidentalis, you'll recall his expert guidance on foliage management for this zone three tree. Whether through complete makeovers or meticulous refinement, Steve's insights left a lasting impression on our bonsai journey. This time, he promises an even deeper exploration into the enchanting world of larch species, shedding light on why they hold such a revered status within the bonsai community.
In addition to this enlightening presentation, Steve will provide insights into our eagerly anticipated May Workshop, scheduled for May 18th and 19th, where he will serve as our intrepid leader once again. Learn firsthand how to prepare your larch (tamarack) or Larix laricina for maximum benefit during the workshop sessions, ensuring a productive and fulfilling experience for all participants.
If you're keen to participate in this enriching workshop with your own larch bonsai or as an eager observer, we encourage you to secure your spot promptly. Space is limited to 14 participants and 15 observers for each of the two days, so take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to expand your bonsai knowledge and skills.
