Club president Scott Samson embarked on a unique journey during the Art in Bloom event from April 18 to 20, 2024. Among the array of available artworks for interpretation was "The Story," a warm painting depicting five boys in a hayloft captivated by a tale. Scott's interpretation ingeniously transformed slabs of stone into the essence of the hayloft, while the larch trees symbolized the figures of the boys. To realize his vision, Scott braved the early awakening of the larch trees in March, sourcing fresh green moss, and ingeniously securing the trees onto the rock slabs. With both excitement and apprehension, Scott recounts his bonsai journey, navigating doubts and uncertainties. Did his efforts yield success? Join us to hear his narrative and judge the outcome.
