BACKYARD WORKSHOPS

Every May and June, our members take turns hosting backyard events. Bring your trees and work on them in a collegial atmosphere where we learn from each other. The host provides refreshments and an area where we can wire, prune, pot trees, and carve deadwood with manual and power tools. Some backyard gatherings include a barbecue. Enjoy a chance to see what others are doing in their bonsai backyards.

WORKSHOP WEEKENDS

Every year, the club offers weekend workshops led by our most experienced members and visiting masters. These workshops feature collected native trees, club-purchased pre-bonsai trees, or bring your own tree. Attractively priced, these events allow our members to refine their trees and start new ones with the long-term goal of showing them at our annual exhibit. These workshops also help our club develop experienced workshop leaders.

Periodically, the club offers special workshops hosted by internationally known Bonsai artists. These weekend-long events may include an exhibit of club trees, several workshops, a demonstration, lunch and dinners, and a raffle.
